Aaron Judge has etched his name into the New York Yankees history books by becoming the first ever player to hit three home runs twice in a single season.Judge was at his brilliant best as the Yankees sealed a 7-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night, first hitting a three-run homer in the third inning and then a two-run shot in the fifth off rookie starter Brandon Pfaadt. It was in the seventh when New York's star slugger made history, adding his record third homer of the night by reaching the second deck in right field with a solo drive off Slade Cecconi.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers appeared on The Pat McAfee Show to address the biggest rumors facing his recovery: No, he does not drink his own urine. Speaking to McAfee and his former Green Bay Packers teammate AJ Hawk on the show being broadcast on ESPN, Rodgers - a practitioner of alternative medicine - said he doesn't indulge in any of his own bodily fluids as he recovers from a season-ending Achilles injury. Hawk seemed slightly surprised by the revelation saying that he believed the quarterback took part in such practices while he was in Green Bay.

Spurs's win over United at the Tottenham Stadium last month makes it four defeats in the first six games. Let's be clear: Ten Hag has not entered basket-case territory yet. Not even close. The Dutchman is displaying the same coolness he did when navigating United through a torrid start to last season before he secured a third-place finish and won the Carabao Cup. But the first small cracks have started to appear in the calm exterior. Ten Hag's assessment of the defeats to Arsenal and Spurs were detached from the mainstream view. A man who spoke yesterday about not looking for excuses bemoaned United's luck at not being awarded penalties in both games.

As far as nightmare debuts go, not many will trump Folarin Balogun's disastrous first start for new club Monaco. The USMNT striker got his Monaco career fully up and running on Friday after completing a $26million move from Arsenal last month, and there was plenty of expectation following his impressive loan spell with fellow French team Reims last season. Yet unfortunately for both Balogun and his new employers, his eagerly-awaited debut did not go to plan.

ESPN analyst Bart Scott has been slammed on social media for joking about Dallas Cowboys star Trevon Diggs tearing his Achilles and having his season ended. Scott was discussing the news about Diggs with Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Clark on Friday's First Take, especially on how it may dent the Cowboy's Super Bowl hopes after two impressive wins to start the season. 'This is a major, major blow for Dallas and like Stephen. A always says "Just wait, something bad always happens",' Scott said, referring to Smith's cynicism of the Cowboys in previous seasons.

With just four minutes on the clock, Ronaldo gave his side the perfect start against an Al-Ahli side that included Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez and Allan Saint-Maximin. The Portuguese forward collected a Sadio Mane pass before capitalising on some poor defending and slotting past the goalkeeper through a plume of smoke following some pre-game pyrotechnics.

Aaron Rodgers has joined Pat McAfee from his rehab room as he continues his recovery from a torn Achilles that ruined his season with the New York Jets as it had just got started. 'It's tough, every single day is tough. I've been grinding on the rehab and looking forward to getting back out to Jersey at some point,' Rodgers said. 'It's disappointing not to be out there.' Rodgers, 39, joked that his rehab is the 'reverse darkness retreat' as he was in a white room without anything on the walls.

Three weeks into the NFL season and the league has already received an alarming wakeup call. One that surely cannot be left ignored.  The 2023 season has made headlines for all the wrong reasons with backlash to turf and concerns over player safety in the wake of season-ending injuries for Aaron Rodgers and Nick Chubb.  But the most damning have come in the form of the rise of fan-related incidents, raising the unavoidable question; Is it time for the NFL to consider fan segregation?

GRAEME SOUNESS: Arsenal have carried a very heavy piece of baggage into this season. The knowledge that they lost their nerve last spring. I'm sorry, but you can't dress up what happened to their last Premier League campaign any other way. They were in the box seat heading into the home stretch of the season and they didn't perform. That little seed in their heads will be there until they win that competition. But I like the Arsenal squad I see - and although it doesn't always follow that they will get better year on year, they're a group of young men who should do exactly that. We'll have a far better picture about Arsenal and Tottenham by 5pm on Sunday. The intensity of a huge north London derby and two teams playing with great confidence adds up to the first proper test that either of the clubs have faced this season. They've each played only one team in the top 10, so far - and given Manchester United's early season form, we really can't read too much into the fact that both teams have beaten them.

In 1993, Alex Rodriguez was selected first overall in the MLB Draft, kickstarting a Hall of Fame-caliber career that spanned more than two decades and produced countless memorable moments on the big stage. But while Rodriguez smashed 696 home runs, was a three-time MVP and 14-time All-Star, many remember him best as a drug cheat. That reputation resurfaced last week when ESPN reported that in 2014, Rodriguez met with two assistant US Department of Justice attorneys and seven Drug Enforcement Administration agents and handed over the names of three fellow players.

Diggs, who was named a Pro Bowler the last two seasons, tore his ACL during a non-contact one-on-one drill in practice Thursday.  The Cowboys confirmed that Diggs will be out for the remainder of the season and not only will he miss Dallas's 2023 games but he also missed out on seeing Beyonce Thursday night.  He had bought a suite at AT&T Stadium to watch Beyonce's Renaissance tour celebrate his 25th birthday, which was Wednesday, according to the Star-Telegram's Clarence Hill Jr.

A violent brawl broke out between an unruly group of men and women at the 49ers and Giants Thursday Night Football match in San Francisco. In the chaotic altercation which has since gone viral, one woman was violently pulled to the ground by her hair while another lost her wig in the fracas. The video posted by @T_Stephenson1 on X, shows a man in a black 49ers jacket grappling with a woman sporting black pants and a red Niners shirt. 

Louisville Metro police thanked Cardinals football players on social media on Thursday for coming 'to the rescue' in helping right a flipped vehicle in an accident this week near their L&N Stadium home field. A video posted by LMPD's verified account on X, formerly known as Twitter, shows a vehicle traveling through the intersection of Central and Floyd avenues by the stadium's southeast corner on Monday afternoon.  The video blurs the crash but shows at least five Cardinals players and another motorist flipping the wrecked vehicle from the driver´s side back onto its wheels before first responders arrived.

LASK 1-3 LIVERPOOL - LEWIS STEELE AT THE RAIFFEISEN ARENA, LINZ: Jurgen Klopp said Liverpool were in the Europa League to 'compete and not give out opportunities' when asked this week if the competition was a chance to bleed in youngsters and fringe players. For much of this match, the opposite was the case. The Reds handed out lots of opportunities by making 11 changes to the side who beat Wolves last weekend. And they did not compete at all in the first half. Austrian side LASK were stronger, well drilled off the ball and capitalised on Liverpool's many weaknesses. But Klopp's men continued their Jekyll and Hyde theme of the season, by winning a game after going 1-0 down for the fourth time in the last five matches. After falling behind to a superb strike, two second-half goals in seven minutes put Liverpool into the driving seat.
